Is this a custom wordpress theme?

  • Hello,

    I noticed one of my favorite online blogs uses wordpress. I would like to know whether this is a custom theme or if it is an existing layout that was just changed cosmetically (colors, fonts, etc.). The link is:

    How can I use the same layout for my blog? Of course I will change the colors and logos.

  • “View source” will give you the name and details of the theme.

    A few more questions…

    To use the same blog as visual example: https://tv.winelibrary.com/

    1) Is this a standard 2 column theme that has been styled with css?
    In other words is the style of the blog the only thing that has been modified via CSS? Or are is there actual custom coding done here with PHP?

    2) I really like how they’ve organized the side bar into categories with headings like “follow me”, “what’s hot”, “favorite episodes” etc. etc.
    Where does that styling take place? In the sidebar.php file? or in the CSS style sheet?

    1) From just looking at it I believe some added PHP coding has been added. Nothing that looks too tricky tho, just some use of custom fields I guess.

    2) Both. Most of the styling is done in the stylesheet, but some background-images are added in the sidebar.
