Is this a legit wordfence file?

    I got an email report today with files modified.
    There was a bunch of files starting with:
    wp-content/plugins/wordfence/crypto/….

    Is this Wordfence?

    Hi @triplecomp,

    The crypto folder is indeed present in the Wordfence installation by default. It contains the cryptography libraries sodium_compat and random_compat which are required by Wordfence for safe implementation of certain PHP functions.

    Full scans will search for changes to WordPress core, plugin and theme folders, flagging files/folders that are not included as part of the releases as standard.
