Hi, I am using a free theme for my site which comes with GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE, Version 2, June 1991. I have several Questions.

    1. I want to change colour scheme of probably the header image and logo.
    2. I want to delete the Footer text and link which is showing the name of the developer
    3. To show respect to the developer I am retaining Developers name and direct link to his website in my style.css file.

It is mentioned in license.txt file, ” By contrast, the GNU General Public
License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change free
software–to make sure the software is free for all its users.”

Even I am not distributing or selling the theme, it is for my personal use. I just want to know, Is this a violation of theme’s copyright??
