I notice that this plugin has not been updated for 2 years.

Is it because there are no bugs to fix and nothing has changed at Facebook that requires an update and the code is still good?

    Or

Has the plugin been abandoned by it’s authors?

  • Yes, it has been abandoned by it’s authors. However, I’m planning to continue use this plugin myself without problems – so I’ve created my own repo here with an issue tracker here for it, with things I read in this forum.

I have no idea if I can update the public repo, but it currently doesn’t matter that much right now. The important thing, is that I can continue use it when the older Graph API’s expires ??

    Thank you for the info.

I haven’t had time to read through all of the documentation on your page. Have you already made an updated version or is the code there still the last version from here?

I would love to see this plugin continue as I use it on 5 sites (Non-commercially) for local voluntary groups that I’m involved with and the alternative plugins either don’t have the feature set I’m looking for or are commercial (paid) plugins that are out of their price range. I wish I was able to contribute but this sort of thing is well outside of my skillset.

It would be great if you could get the updated plugin into the WP plugins system with the ease of installation and update that that provides. I’m sure there will be many others that will be very grateful to you and I wish you every success. ??

There is a branch, called fixes/2.3-2.3.1-unbreak, but I haven’t had enough time yet, to look at the other issues.

Currently it only contains the oauth issue, reported here ??

Thank you. I’ll keep checking back in the future. I have already implemented the fix manually for that one ??
