    Hi,

    Is this an alternative to Yoast as the two cannot be used “side-by-side”?

    Would like to get schema sorted and looked everywhere for a simple, intuitive approach to create such for each post.

    I worry that with all the content/keyword work added to yoast that this may be all undone and screw up 1000 pages/reviews?

    Yes, SmartCrawl is an alternative to Yoast and it includes an option to import your current SEO settings from Yoast and apply them 1:1 – https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/smartcrawl/

    Alternatively, you can use them side by side, just make sure that features you’re using in Yoast are not enabled in SmartCrawl – having both could lead to conflicts or duplicating content. This way you can keep using Yoast except for schema and use the Schema Builder from SmartCrawl.

    Possibly in the future, after testing on a staging site you can then switch to SmartCrawl completely. Since you’ve put a lot of work into your site’s SEO I’m suggesting a staging site as it will allow you to avoid any issues with the live site (we don’t really expect any, so it’s just an additional precaution).
