Glad to help. As explained in the plugin documentation, Banhammer enables you to monitor site traffic and ban any unwanted visitors. It’s a way for site owners and admins to block bad IPs and WP users. I recommend reading the documentation, and let me know if any questions, thank you.

    Thanks.

Do your other two plugins ban XSS, Bruteforce or IDS attacks ?

Please see the comments I left to your posts in the support forums for either of those plugins, thank you.

    Thanks for the reply.

It would seem that the “BBQ” is THE only plugin that handles the XSS and Bruteforce attacks out of the 3 I mentioned.

    Correct ?

    Partially correct.

BBQ automatically protects against XSS and much more.

Blackhole also automatically blocks some bad bots that are known to instigate XSS et al.

And Banhammer enables you to manually block any perpetrators who may be fiddling with XSS or other bad activity.

So all three can help protect against XSS and other attacks, but BBQ free (and pro) offer the strongest automatic protection against such threats.

    Does that help?

    Yes.

    Thank you.

    Just curious.

Do you have plans to combine all 3 of these plugins into just one plugin ?

Not really, all-in-one type plugins tend to be slow and bloated with unused features. Dedicated plugins give you tighter control and greater flexibility going forward.

    Makes sense.
