• I just installed this plug-in on 9/24 and ever since then, I have been trying to optimize my old images unsuccessfully. It just hangs on the “Examining existing attachments. This may take a few moments.” message. Only once did I make it to a progress bar, but even then, the bar never progressed. I saw that there were some DDOS problems a few days ago, but they seemed to be resolved before I installed the plug-in. Has anyone else had this problem when first installing the plug-in?

Have you found a solution..? I’m having the same issue both on my local machine, and on my staging server.

It seems to have done about half of my images but it still hangs every time i try to use it. In the end all my featured images stopped working! I had to deactivate all my plugins and re-activate them one by one before i could get them all showing again. It seems w3 total cache interacts badly with resmush plugin so it messes up your images. Lot of headscratching and worry and not worth it as it hasn’t improved my site speed by much anyway. Perhaps that is my fault and i should compress the images before they even go on my site, then resmush possibly COULD do a better job. Not sure.

No, I have not found a solution. I keep trying to run it every day in case it is still a DDOS problem, but it just hangs. Does anyone know how to contact the plug-in developer for support?

    Hi guys,

Do you have a very high amount of pictures in your WP website ? As it could take time to analyze the attachments ?

    Cheers,

I do have a high number of pictures in my site, but the problem is that it is hardly progressing at all. I can let the plug-in process overnight and when I check back in, it will have only processed one image.
