is this plugin compatible with subscriptions?

I would like to ask whether the subscription renewal is triggered by Stripe or the plugin.

The subscription renewal is triggered by the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin, which then calls the Stripe plugin and tells it to process the renewal payment.

I am not familiar with what plugin you are referring to since I am unaware of a plugin that combines Stripe and PayPal into one plugin. Are you perhaps referring to the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin?

From your perspective, why is this plugin better than the official version?

I prefer not to get into comparisons between plugins so what I recommend you do is spend some time reading through the reviews for the plugins you’re considering. I think that will provide you with enough information to make a good decision.

There are clear differences between the settings of each plugin and what they offer. Many high volume merchants use this plugin because it’s performant and designed to scale.

I think the fact that this plugin has about 150,000 users is a valid justification for its existence. That means this plugin is providing something that users weren’t finding in other available plugins. Again, the reviews section is a great way for you to read user feedback when making your decision.

I can definitely see the value in this plugin! However, it’s hard to fully grasp without implementing it and comparing it with the official version.

I haven’t had a good experience with the official PayPal integration. We’ve missed 40% of subscriptions due to errors made by the development team when integrating PayPal v2.
