    Hello,
I used Crayon Syntax Highlighter, but since the developer has abandoned this plugin, I am looking for an alternative.
Is this plugin fully GDPR compliant? Does it collect or store any personal data? Does it connect to any external server that could see the IP address of the user? Anything?

    Thank you!

first of all – i’m the plugin author – not a lawyer. the answer is not
legally effective! therefore i wont’t give you a simple answer like yes/no ??

    * Enlighter doesn’t rely on any 3rd party services. you can configure external CDNs which outsources some resources but this feature is disable by default. all js/css/images are delivered by the plugin locally (your webserver)
    * Enlighter is a Post Syntax Highlighter – it doesn’t log any kind of user data
    * Within the backend it sets a cookie to store the current active settings tab (admin user only – requires manage_options privileges to view the settings)
