Is this plugin still active and being worked on?

I was curious, since it appears that the plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years .. was the plugin replaced with something else? Is it still being worked on and kept up to date?

I saw https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-widget-cache/ and wasn’t sure if this replaced DB Cache Reloaded.

I also haven’t seen any help provided by the developer in a long time either.

Any info? Is there a better plugin and one that has been updated more recently .. that someone might recommend?
