• I am using the most recent version of WordPress and it says this plugin isn’t verified with this version. Until recently, I haven’t had any problems with the plugin and numerous are suddenly cropping up. If it is still maintained and being worked on, I’ll go into full detail regarding the issues.

Yes, if you look at the main page, it shows when it was last updated, which was just 1 month ago.

I don’t release an update every time WordPress releases a bug fix or minor revision, so my “tested up to” version will not always match the current WordPress version until I release an update and change that value in the header of my plugin.

Still working just fine here with latest versions of everything, and nobody else is reporting sudden issues (over 2000 active installs). So, my guess is a problem with your website, or conflict with some other plugin. But, feel free to detail any issues you are having.

Also, where are you seeing that it isn’t “verified”? I don’t see anything like that on the pages here.

I used the wrong word… I wasn’t looking at the screen, it says it isn’t tested on my version (5.6.2) of WordPress on the details page or what pops up when you click on “more details” under the download button. I guess this is added by WordPress because it is highlighted in yellow under the menu bar that says description – installation and such…

You’ll note that my plugin says tested up to 5.6.0, which was the version when I released the last update last month. Since then, WordPress has released two small “point” updates (5.6.1, 5.6.2), which were mostly minor bug fixes and changes to their horrible Gutenberg blocks, and will have no effect on my plugin. My plugin has never been broken by any WordPress updates, as I follow WordPress standards and best practices, and they are pretty good about maintaining backwards compatibility and not releasing updates that are going to suddenly break thousands of plugins or themes.

There is no reason to get snippy which you have been in your entire response from the get-go. I asked a question which the answer to was a simple yes instead of condescending arrogance. I am doing a full test before reporting an issue but if it wasn’t maintained there was no point. So have a great day on your high horse.

Not being snippy at all, just letting you know why you are seeing that warning, and how and when I update my plugins. Sorry if you interpreted my writing style as snippy. Just stating the facts.

You’ve spoken to me like I don’t understand basic terms or can’t read somehow so that isn’t a style as much as just unnecessary. This is a very small plugin compared to the others I use, so when I see that it hasn’t been tested or updated in a month, I am curious if the plugin has fallen off I’ll just delete and restart elsewhere rather than waste my time digging any deeper. Again, sometimes yes or no rather than feeling the need to unnecessarily explain terms would be most appropriate.
