Is this plugin still supported?

I’m a user of this plugin, and I’d like to add a simple feature to it.
However, I notice that it hasn’t been updated in two years..
So, back to my question: is this plugin still supported?
If not, I’m quite happy to start a “new” plugin based on this, and support that. (giving credit to the original, of course)
