• I have asked several unanswered questions in support, and have noticed no response from the developer for 7 months now.

If it is no longer supported, we need to start notifying potential users of the status of the plugin. It works to some extent, but must be highly modified for many applications, and the developer does not seem to be responding. I understand… working for free is not fun ?? Too bad because this plugin has such great potential! I really think it could be monetized.

I’ll wait for a couple of days and then leave a review. Thank you Nikki for your work on this project.

  • It seems that no one updates this or any other similar plugins anymore which is pretty sad. We really need a good plugin!

I know, it’s quite sad. Radio is suffering, but it’s still alive! Drupal basically won the radio station market I guess… bummer.

All we need is something to show the times of shows, and the previous show and make a widget for each. Surely it can’t be that difficult to create and maintain.

So what exactly are you attempting to do, are you just loading music to a server and letting it play on it’s own or are you trying to run a real live internet radio station because the trivial things are nothing, I am just trying to figure out how you would talk live. I am in the middle of building a large internet radio station site right now, we are up and testing live but this sounds like something totally different to me, there are times I’d like it to just rotate but in cases such as that I build playlist blocks and add multiple instances of the same commercials and call signals until I feel it is balanced out with the playlist (if it’s playing at random you need the same commercials in the play list enough times to play as often as needed, it’s not dead accurate but what is?) So I have been building this site I have been looking for a few things to add in, I came across this and DJ Rotator for WordPress which is supposed to be rather nice but it’s older and the download link no longer works. This particular radio station plugin has no support and many bugs, it throws errors and too many for me to use my time to fix something that should simply be rebuilt. If I could find a copy of the DJ Rotator plugin or any other decent plugin I plan to add some extra things in such as the option to use FMLE (Flash Media Live Encoder) to broadcast via Wowza in order to hit every mobile device as well as PC’s and on a real media server for large stations not Shoutcast, I don’t see any of that listed, so it’s not really a radio station it’s a playlist on a website, there is a difference between live and Memorex. How do you take live phone calls? lol.

Not sure if something like this would help, you may have to alter the code or add a timing system, haven’t had to to look at it just yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyWOQhSdJe8

You can also time changes to your site like page displays with the current DJ etc. right on the server with the use of cron jobs. It doesn’t always require a plugin to get the right result…
