Is this possible?

I have installed and am using wordpress on a
https://www.sitename.com for an year now.
And now I want to make a completely different website that will be in
https://www.sitename.com/something/
There I want to make a new installation of wordpress where
https://www.sitename.com/something/ on this site there will be multiblogs.
What I mean is that I want to have 2 different WP installations and one being in a folder and the one in the folder to be MU.Can this happen or it won’t work?
