Is this possible?

Hello –

I am fairly new to wordpress and teaching myself as I go along…

This is my site. We have been using it for a while but now just trying to get the design right.

We are having our new slider images created as I type this. We like how the recent posts are below and will keep that.

My question is… Between the slider and the “recent posts” is it possible to have a static image there?

For example like this site:

Below their slider they have a paragraph and a static picture. Hpe this makes sense.
