    Hi dear Gaucho support,

What we need is the following: we have several shops in with wordpress multisite.
Then there is “single cart checkout” acticate in WPglobal Cart, meaning no matter in which shop the customer checks out –> he is redirected to a “master shop” for the checkout.

On this checkout page I disabled the header etc. so it looks neutral – but the URL does not look it should.

    What I mean:
Shop A: The customer puts a product in the cart and goes to the checkout. The checkout URL is “www.shop-main” and not, like it should be “www.shop-a”

Shop B: The customer puts a product in the cart and goes to the checkout. The checkout URL is “www.shop-main” and not, like it should be “www.shop-b”

So my question is: Does your plugin allow me to show the customer “www.shop-a” when he comes from Shop A and “www.shop-b” when he comes from Shop b ? (Even thought the real site he is on is always “www.shop-main” ?

If so, is this possible with the free version?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi @keramikoch – thanks for reaching out about Domain Mapping System.

With the free version, you can map one page/post to each domain.

Because your use-case would require mapping both the “shop” page and the “checkout” page for each domain, that means the free version would not support that and you would need to upgrade. You can reach out to us at [email protected] for further questions about the PRO version, as this forum is only meant for discussion about the free version.

Furthermore, the free version does not support Global URL Rewriting, which would rewrite the URLs on each shop page and redirect customers to the right checkout domain. We haven’t tested the plugin with WP Global Cart, so we’re not 100% sure it would work for rewriting URLs, but if there’s any issue, you can reach out to support and we’ll of course see what we can do to make it happen.

If you have any further questions, please contact us on [email protected], or feel free to ask questions strictly about the free version here.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,
thanks for the answer but maybe I did not explain it perfectly.
There only has to be mapped the “check-out” page – no other page. The shop page doesn’t have to be mapped.

    So to be clearer:
    https://www.shop-main.com/cart —> https://www.shop-a.com/cart
    https://www.shop-main.com/cart —> https://www.shop-b.com/cart

So only one page per site/domain which has to remapped – depending on from which site the customer comes.

Concerning your second remark: “free version does not support Global URL Rewriting, which would rewrite the URLs on each shop page and redirect customers to the right checkout domain.?“

In a WP multisite (what we use) every subsite has its own domain etc. So it is like a own shop. So basically I would install your plugin on every subsite and on every subsite there has to be only one page to be mapped (like i understood it)

Would that work with the basic version ?

I believe this configuration would also require the Global URL rewriting mechanism (paid feature).

I suggest trying it out with the free version and if you run into any issues, please let us know via email [email protected], and we can determine fully if the paid version is necessary for your configuration.

So the free version is not rewriting the URL for one page?

I wrote an e-mail and hope it gets clearer what i want to do.

That is correct. Global URL Rewriting (changing all the URLs on a specific page to the URL being viewed in the browser URL bar) is not part of the free version.

    Well received, thank you!
