Is this reversable if something goes wrong?

I have a multisite WP installation and want to redirect one of the sub sites to its own separate single WP installation.
My question is: if it all goes horribly wrong can the original site be reverted by removing the redirect or disabling the plugin?
Sorry about the rather nervous newbie question. Yes, I have backed everything up!
