The plugin still works. When you create the App on Dropbox, via this URL:

    https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps/create

    Choose the following:
    – Dropbox API app
    – Files and datastores
    – No. My app needs access to files already on Dropbox.
    – All file types. My app needs access to a user’s full Dropbox. Only supported via the Core API.

This creates an app with full file access.

Make sure that you name the app using your website name, and not just something generic. Like “Example.com Dropbox Sideloader” or some such.

Sam, will be making an ever-helpful mod to allow spaces in file names?

The spaces in filenames is a hard one to solve properly. Still hoping for a core fix on that.

    Hi Sam,

I REALLY need this plugin to work (don’t we all!). I have everything set up, and if a file is in my root Dropbox directory, I can sideload it just fine. However, I cannot open any sub-directories. They all are listed, but when I click, nothing happens.

Since all I need to process are images, I set up the API app to handle image files only. Is this the problem?

    Thanx!

Yes, it is. The plugin needs to be able to access the entire dropbox. The plugin will only show you image files on it’s own.

A subdirectory is not an image file, so you’ve disallowed the app to access them.
