    ORBIT FOX

Thanks for the cool plugin! I added Orbit Fox to my six sites several years ago. While I like the plugin, I found that I did not need it. So I deactivated and deleted each of them.

But I continue to receive emailed notifications from the Orbit Fox Uptime Monitor. The problem is that the notifications that one of my sites is DOWN are never accurate: I go check the site and it is always up and running—at least at my end.

So, what is going on? Is Orbit Fox Uptime Monitor telling me something that I do not understand?

    Is it malfunctioning?

And why is it functioning for me at all if I deleted the Orbit Fox plugin?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @nealumphred,

Please check any email that you receive about the downtime. In that email, you should see an option to unsubscribe from getting these emails because when the plugin is just deactivated/deleted your email still remains in the list of subscribers.

Regarding why you could be getting downtime messages if the website is up – it could be just a minor downtime and once the email is delivered your website is up again. You can try other plugins/tools to monitor your website and check if there are actually any downtimes to be sure about it.

    I hope it helps!

    Thanks for the response!

First, I should have said that I like the Orbit Fox plugin but it ended up redundant due toother plugins.

As for the Monitor: If it works, I would prefer it keep right on working. I was confused as to why it was telling my sites were down when they were easily accessed at my end. You answered that.

    And, yes, it helps!

    Keep on keepin’ on!
