Is user input stored and sent by Contact Form plugin

    I am using contact-form plugin on my site. Works well. However I have some questions regarding user data privacy.
    1) Is user input (entered by portal user) stored in my mysql DB? I mean does plugin stores user input?
    2) Is user input written into log files.
    3) Is user input sent to some 3rd parties.

  • Roberto grazie per la tua veloce risposta, il plug-in del modulo di contatto funziona quando il mio stio è in modalita on-line. Mentre quando è in modalità manutenzione il format di contact form non funziona( non invia l’email) non so cosa fare. ho installato anche il plug-in SMTP WP per avere maggiore sicurezza nell’invio della posta. Ripeto quando il sito è in modalità manutenzione il plug-in contact form non fa inviare l’email al visitatore che compila il format.

    @mauriziok Sorry I do not understand Italian.

    1. No, it’s not stored in DB. You have to use Flamingo plugin by same author to store it in DB and have back-end access to it.

    2. Yes, theoretically all sent mail stored in your server log.

    3. As far as I know, CF7 doesn’t send any info to 3rd parties.

    @mayuxi Installato Flamingo ma non succede nulla… una volta compilato il format di contact form7 non mi da nessun segnale al momento che clicco su invia sempre quando entro sulla pagina in fase di manutenzione, mentre se entro tolgo la modalità manutenzione contact form funziona, invia l’email correttamente. Aiutatemi non so come fare.

    Precisa setup “Additional Settings” em CF7 como isso:

    Open the Additional Settings tab in the contact form editor page, and add lines like these:

    flamingo_email: “[the-email-field]”
    flamingo_name: “[the-name-field]”
    flamingo_subject: “[the-subject-field]”

    @mayuxi probeìlema non risolto, sempre problemi invio email. non da segni di reazione quando clicchi il tasto invia. In modalità manutenzione.

    @mayuxi il problema nasce solo in modalità manutenzione.
