    Hello,

Has the webp option been totally removed? If so what happens with all the generated webp images?

Also what happens with new images uploaded, will these still be generated as webp images?

In my smallest site i have enabled the new option for .avif images. Generated all images and set to use picture tags in frontend. After emptied all cache in server, website and browser i still get only .webp images in frontend. I am not using any CDN.

    Thanks for great tool

Almost same questions with Arcticfritid so i am using same thread

    Also

1)After 2.2.0.0, upgraded also to 2.2.0.1 today, .webp option disappeared there is only avif. So first question is what happens to old .webp images, need to reoptimize in order to e converted to avif?

    2) There is no more button like was with .webp to just convert original images that just not had webp version but were optimized.

    3) Seems that counting is wrong at bulk optimization, always were gigabytes as i have big sites, now kilobytes ???

Imo after such a major upgrade should be a notice before, and some documentation

Same pb here. where are our webp images ?!

Not only that, but I’m noticing most images aren’t being optimized at all since the update.

    Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for your patience!

Please note that on our update on Imagify v2.2, we introduced the AVIF compatibility which means that you can convert and display your images in AVIF format.

However,?WebP is still available?and if you do not enable the “Create AVIF versions of images” through Settings > Imagify then the WebP version of your images will be created by default and if you enable the display Next-Gen formats option then the WebP version will be displayed as well.

Please find further information on our documentation?https://imagify.io/documentation/how-avif-works-and-how-it-can-be-enabled/

If you already have WebP versions created on your website and you enable the “Create AVIF versions of images” then the AVIF versions of images should be created automatically for existing images in media library but may take some time.

Regarding the counting issue on bulk optimization we have identified the following issue which is already on GH and you can track the progress from the following link https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-plugin/issues/840 it should be fixed and implemented on our next update Imagify v2.2.1 which should be released pretty soon.

    @metuza

Checking on your website URL it looks like the AVIF version is displayed successfully using picture tags.

Let me know if you need further assistance. I’ll be happy to help.

    Hi Loanna,

Yes, i got it working for the most of the images unless the main image of single products. If you check this single product you will see that main image is still .jpg but the smaller gallery images is .avif and ok. https://www.arctic-fritid.as/produkt/jaktutstyr/kniv-og-verktoyslipere/knivslipere/manuelle-knivslipere/work-sharp-paj-presisjon-knivsliper/
