Is WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway compatible with WooCommerce 4.9.2

    Hello,
    First of all, thank you very much for the great work you are doing with WooCommerce and plugins.
    I wanted to update WooCommerce and a message inform me that “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway” was not tested with the new version of WooCommerce 5.0 from the dashboard.
    As I can see neither for WordPress 5.6.1 version.(only tested up to: 5.5.3).
    So what is your advice?

    Hi Oly,

    Great question. PayPal Checkout is compatible with the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce; those not tested with the new version messages are usually false positives. They really mean that WooCommerce core has been updated more recently than the extension in question.

    Then maybe the WooCommerce team should update the page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/ (Details)
    to change the line “Tested up to: 5.5.3“.
    It would give more confidence to potential new users…

    When I go to update WooCommerce it warns me that ‘WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway’ is Tested up to WooCommerce version 4.7

    If it’s a false positive why does it specifically say 4.7? I have WooCommerce 4.9.1 and 5.2.2 is available.

    That was the last time the compatibility field was updated. As long as you’re on the latest version of the plugin, it should definitely be compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce. I apologize for the confusion.
