I have one question: I was wondering whether WooCommerce on WordPress would be a good home for a travel agency. The website would have to list various locations, each location has somewhere between 10 and 500 hotels. There is a backend available (which exposes a REST api) which does all the booking business logic, from offering availability and prices for each hotel, to the actual booking. Would this be a good use-case for WooCommerce or simple WordPress? I could not find a similar example and it is hard for me to map what each hotel means in WordPress / WooCommerce. Would it be a page, a post or a product?

    Thank you!

    Hey there!

You could certainly do that on WordPress and WooCommerce. WordPress is a good content management platform, and WooCommerce adds in the products, checkout flow, etc.

However, that being said, you’re mentioning the REST API, as well as lots of locations. I’d recommend working with a developer from the beginning, so this project can be investigated and planned for properly. I highly recommend contacting one of the services on our customizations page: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
