Wordfence should not be causing any issues with the GTM tag. To rule our Wordfence, you can try the following:
First, while using the debugger, check to see if you see any blocks populate in the Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic area while having it open in a separate tab. You might want to try a few times as blocks can come in regularly and you’ll want to make sure it is related. Expand the block to show more information as well.
After that, you could also try using the debugger while in learning mode. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage Firewall. Then you will see?Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to?Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. That said, if Wordfence was not initially blocking the action, you will not see a change.
After you have finished performing the actions to try to reproduce the issue, switch the firewall from Learning Mode back to?Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly. If the issues are still persisting, you can likely rule out Wordfence.
