    Hey,
I am new to WordPress and my friend recommended plugins and themes for my website which I used and I have a doubt related to the authenticity of the plugin, so I have installed the Wordfence plugin to scan my website.
I am a free Wordfence user and I am using the High Sensitivity Scan option every day.
So, can I relax and sit back without any worries?
Or should I uninstall the themes and plugins, and try purchasing from the developers? Please respond.

  • Premium plugins/themes should only be sourced from the developers’ website. Cracked or ‘nulled’ plugins/themes, where the code has been changed to bypass the licence requirements, should not be trusted as they invariably contain malicious code. You should remove all untrusted themes/plugins, replace with trusted alternatives, and thoroughly scan and monitor your site.

Hello @harshalbundiwal and thanks for reaching out!

You should only have to use the High Sensitivity scan when you feel like your site may have been compromised. The standard scan should be sufficient in any other situation.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/#severity-levels is an amazing reference for Scan Types.

As @pidengmor had mentioned. You want to always stick with trusted themes/plugins.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks!
