• Hi all,

I just want to know if there’s a chance to support single-sign-on after successful implementation with this plugin? I’ve tried to do this with NADI first, but this seems not to be possible since our WordPress site is created as an Intranet site inside an existing network?
I’m just looking for a solution to that SSO issue to make our site easier to use for our staff.

    Regards,

It supports single sign on in that the user uses his or her single sign on credentials (LDAP/AD) to authenticate. It doesn’t support single sign on where authentication occurs with an identity provider and then forwarded to a service provider (e.g. Shibboleth and SAML).

Can you give me some details on your set up and what you are hoping to accomplish?

Thanks a lot for that immediate answer!!
Yes, we plan to use WordPress for our company’s intranet site in a standard Windows environment, so LDAP/AD authentication is available.
As I mentioned, I’ve already tried NADI and somehow did not manage to activate the plugin. This is also written on the plugin website in the installation notes.
I’d mainly like to accomplish two things – first, to provide an automatically login for the user with its credentials when logged into the company’s network and calling the intranet. The address of the site will be part of the local intranet zone. Building on that, the second reason is an individual user area on the site, where one can share job-related and personal information like skills, education, interests,… For data protection law reasons, we have to make sure that only the person itself can edit his/her own information, while for all the others read access is available.
