This is the issue: a site has a page that is ‘cut up’ with page-endings, so it is a page with pagination.
When I use the standard WordPress search form the results will always go to page one, and not to the correct page.

so for example: I look for a word and that can be found on page 15 of the total page. So that word can be found on url/page-name/15

But when I search that word with the search form:
the results will NOT go to url/page-name/15
    but to url/page-name/
meaning people will have to click through 15 pages to find it.

This is not a workable way of searching.
Does this plugin provide a solution for this problem?

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

Yes, you can configue the plugin search form to search exact words as displayed below.

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but I am afraid this does not answer my question, so probably I did not formulate my question clear enough.

    So here is another attempt:

The problem with the basic search form is not that I can’t find the correct search term. The problem is that the search result will direct you to page one of a paginated page, and not to the correct page of the split / paginated page.

Not sure if I can make it any clearer, but I really hope you understand what I mean!

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Could you please share the page URL from your site where it is happening so I can troubleshoot it?

    Hi,

    On this page: https://kafka-kring.nl/nederlandse-kafka-receptie/

you can see that there is pagination on the bottom off the page. It is a page with a lot of sections

If you search for instance for ‘Janouch’ ( which is on page https://kafka-kring.nl/nederlandse-kafka-receptie/19 ) the search result will lead you to https://kafka-kring.nl/nederlandse-kafka-receptie/

people would then still have to manually look through all those pages

It seems you are talking about the in page paginaion created using <!–nextpage–> and not the search results page pagination.

Currently, the plugin does not provide in page pagination search functionality but I will consider implementing it in the future version of the plugin.
