Isn't tracking Internal Links as Outbound

  • Yoast explains how he uses Simple URLs for outbound affiliate links and tracks them using the ‘Track Internal Links as Outbound’ feature by putting /go/ or whatever the path is into the box.

    My WordPress site is in myglasseye.net/news/ so the outbound links are myglasseye.net/news/go/linkname. Therefore I’ve entered /go/ as the path, and not /news/go/. Is that correct?

    I set this up a month ago but it has never worked. Everything else tracks fine, but these internal links with the tag ‘aff’ never appear in my Analytics. I’ve set up something similar with Clicky and it works just fine…
