• Hi,

I am having the issue while replacing the image into the AWS S3 Buckets using the WP Offload Media plugin. It shows that image has been successfully changed while the the S3 URL for the image is showing the older image version.

    Thanks

    Hello @krishnadesu,

Can you please tell us which options have you used when doing the replace? A screen-shot with the settings used when doing the replace would be the best. I’m asking this because one of the options does the replacement by keeping the same filename and this may result in the behavior you are describing. In other words, the file might be replaced, but the old file is still served from the cache (depending on the delivery options you have chosen in the WP Offload Media settings). To double-check that, please also send a screenshot with the WP Offload Media settings.

Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!

    Hi @petredobrescu

The editor not allowing me to add screenshot here.

Currently I am using 1st option which is causing this issue. i.e.; just replace the file.

Yes, and that’s on purpose. No one wants these forums to host anyone’s image.

I suggest you upload to an image sharing site that you have an account on and share the link here in a reply. The account is in case later on you want to delete the image.

This site is recommended but there are many others.

    Hello @krishnadesu,

I’m pretty sure this is a caching issue and a possible way to solve it is to clear the cache of your CDN provider that is set in WP Offload Media (it is currently set to “Other” from what I can see).

An alternative way is to open the link of one of the images in the discussion and add at the end of the image URL this string: ?no-cache

Please tell me how it goes!
