Issue Updating Wordpres 5.3.1

  • Any ideas? Auto update failed, and when I do the manual update inside WordPress I get the following error:

    “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.

    Update WordPress (button text)

    Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/release/wordpress-5.3.1-partial-0.zip…

    The authenticity of wordpress-5.3.1-partial-0.zip could not be verified as no signature was found.

    Could not create directory.

    Installation Failed”

    I am unable to update any plugin or theme either. Thank you for your help!! ??

    That link is within the error I am getting. So I doubt it would work?

    This is just the error text that I am copying and pasting in here. It looks like the download link is trying to take to a “partial” zip.

    Any ideas? I cannot get this client’s site updated (plugins or theme either). Should I just try a manual update of 5.3.1 instead of the auto?

    He, it wouldn’t forward me at all. That’s what I wondered about. Sorry I couldn’t help
