ISSUE w/ Members "Upgrading" while Not Logged In

    Love the plugin.

    Problem is, I have 3 types of members who Upgrade their account.

    #1. Members who don’t have an account.
    #2. Members who have an account AND are logged in.
    #3. Members who have an account AND are NOT logged in.

    The problems is with #3.

    I had to troubleshoot this issue tonight ?? And I had absolutely ZERO problem with #1 and #2.

    #1. You don’t have an account. Boom. The thank you page asks you to create one, and it’s that simple.

    #2. You do have an account AND you are logged in. Boom. The thank you page says your account is upgraded and to log in.

    #3. You do have an account AND are NOT logged in. Problem. The thank you page tells you to CREATE a new account.

    This can be EXTREMELY confusing to the peeps that already HAVE an account, but forgot to login before their purchase.

    What can we do?

    Telling people to login on the sales page prior to purchase is not an option, especially because some people don’t even have an account.

    Other than that, this is an AMAZING piece of software.

    Apparently the only work-around is to put text on sales page:

    “if you are already registered, please log in before upgrading”

    That’s a huge shame.

    After someone makes a purchase, they should be able to be offered:

    “Click here to create new account.”

    OR

    “If current member, click here to upgrade your current account.”

    Something along those lines.

    Having to add in the “extra step” is an easy way to lose sales. It’s that, OR upset the members by making them write me an email so I can manually upgrade their account.

    At this point, not sure how worth it this is going forward.

    For now, just adding the text to the sales page.
