    Hello,

    When I upgrade to 3.4.28 I get the below error at the top of the screen when in the WP Admin dashboard. There’s also a similar error visible on the webpage. I’m currently rolled back to the previous version. Here’s what I see in the WP Admin dashboard:

  • I’m still getting an error on a couple of old sites that still use PHP 5.6

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /homepages/43/d446792875/htdocs/hostingcontainer/wp-content/plugins/ninja-forms/ninja-forms.php on line 354

    I’m still getting an error on a couple of old client sites that use PHP 5.6:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘::’ (T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM) in /homepages/43/d446792883/htdocs/hostingcontainer/wp-content/plugins/ninja-forms/ninja-forms.php on line 354

    @tinpeas that’s a separate issue, as php 5.6 is no longer supported.

    I no, but it worked OK with yesterdays update.

    With 5.6, the concern is that behavior going forward will be inconsistent. It’s best to try and update to a current version.

    I agree with you, the problem is that the sites sometimes break and the clients are not always prepared to pay for new ones. I’ve fixed this issue now anyway. Client conversations to be had on Monday! ??

    Hehe I’ve had the same problem. Best of luck! ??

    Now I do not see an forms on the website, canno clear them as Ninja forms has disappeared from the menu….

    I’m also finding it no longer works with PHP 5.6. Yes it’s an older version, but some plugins and themes still don’t support newer versions of PHP.

    I guess I’ll roll back to an earlier version of Ninja Forms.

    Can you make sure that you are updated to the latest version of Ninja Forms, 3.4.30 and see if you are still having the same issue?
    If you are still having issues, the quickest way to get support is through our official Ninja Forms support form. https://ninjaforms.com/contact

    @commando WordPress recommends PHP7.4 https://www.ads-software.com/about/requirements/

    @jmcelhaney 3.4.29 fixed the problem and with 3.4.30 it is still fine.

    @jmcelhaney – apologies for not replying sooner. All is well for my sites. The latest update right after this issue popped up solved it.

    The update fixed the issue for me, and it’s still working well ??

    @jmcelhaney,
    Running 3.4.30 and everything seems fine to me. Currently running the latest PHP as well (PHP 7.4.12) without issue.

    Thanks for all the updates!
