Pls help me with the following:
The Accordian will only display as a list not collapsible accordian. I used the same shortcode on another site and it works? The preview shows fine and I also deleted the caches on the web server.
I cannot add any new tag groups as it disallows this. In the tag admin page it says ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. even though all else works fine. I can assign tags to groups ok

  • I looked at that page and it seems that a required script is not loaded.

The first thing you could do is to go to the Tag Groups Settings, “Front End”, and check if “Always load shortcode scripts” is enabled. If that doesn’t work, please deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme to find out if any of your plugins is responsible.

If you want to add tag groups, you go to the Tag Group Admin page. If you see the menu but cannot access the page, try if any other plugin interferes. You can also try these steps.

Thks I got issue 1 sorted by enabling the script.

Issue 2 I changed to php8 and did the steps but still same issue…any ideas pls?

So, you see “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” when you try to access the tags page even when no other plugin is active?

Which role do you use when trying to access the page? Are you an administrator?

Which way do you try to access the page? Do you see a menu entry?

I am the site admin with root permission and I log in that way.

I do not see a menu item for the group admin…however if I go to the link in below screenshot it gives the error

Just to make sure I understood correctly: This issue still persists with all other plugins deactivated and when you use a WordPress default theme? I cannot imagine other causes – maybe something in your database or in your .htaccess file.

It seems that the Tag Group Admin page cannot be registered. If you go to the Tag Groups Settings -> Taxonomies and hover your mouse over the “Tags” taxonomy, do you then see “(post type: post)” behind it?

I have not deactived all plugins yet as this would be very hard and time consuming…I have about 30 however there are many plugins that I have dependencies to even view the pages.

Here a screenshot of more info

The tag groups work normal except I cannot get to the admin to create new groups. There are many frontend and backend setting pages I can view and change except the admin page.

The screenshot shows the Tag Groups settings.

I don’t see a way how to find out the conflicting plugin without deactivating other plugins. Maybe you could hire someone who can do that for you. You also would only need to deactivate them to find out which one causes the conflict. Then you can reactivate the rest and deactivate the conflicting one only for creating tag groups.

Tag Groups works with a default WordPress installation and with most other plugins, but of course it is not possible to guarantee it for every plugin because some fundamentally change the behavior of the site.
