    I’m getting this message when editing recipes:

    “WooCommerce Square: It looks like your site does not support background processing, which means large numbers of products may not sync successfully with Square. Read more here on how to resolve this.”

    Our dev checked but we don’t have any restrictions on background processing, we don’t understand why this message is showing up.

    We have WordFence installed but there are no signs of that being the cause.

    We’ve seen such issues with WordFence, so can you please test with it completely disabled?

    You can also ask your host to check what they see for GET requests to https://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wc_square_background_sync_test (change yourdomainname.com), it may help with troubleshooting.

    If the issue persists, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response in coding brackets.

    Thank you @treibalen, I will definitely try this out if it happens to be WordFence what’s your recommendation? which security plugin doesn’t have conflicts with the background processing of Square?

    Keep us posted on that! I’d recommend reaching WordFence if that’s the case, they should be able to direct you towards the solution.

    As for other plugins, we can’t vouch for third-party extensions so you can try different ones and see which one works for you the best.
