• Hi

    I keep getting this message

Page cache is not detected and the server response time is slowPerformance

Page cache enhances the speed and performance of your site by saving and serving static pages instead of calling for a page every time a user visits.

Page cache is detected by looking for an active page cache plugin as well as making three requests to the homepage and looking for one or more of the following HTTP client caching response headers:cache-controlexpiresagelast-modifiedetagx-cache-enabledx-cache-disabledx-srcache-store-statusx-srcache-fetch-status.

    • ?Median server response time was 1,851 milliseconds. It should be less than the recommended 600 milliseconds threshold.
    • ?No client caching response headers were detected.
    • ?A page cache plugin was not detected.

I’ve tried a few different cache plugins and at first my site health is good, then within minutes it has this message again. Please help I’m a total novice at this and have no idea what to do.

  • Hello there,

You did not share site URL but I assume it’s https://minisigners.com – you have more problems then just caching, it takes 20 seconds to load your website, server response time is very bad, you can see more info here – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/minisigners.com/rg3VRcbI/

There are caching issues thought -> https://prnt.sc/eUu5dvsgyOGp and your CSS and JS files are not cached at all -> https://prnt.sc/Ghuh5eSinTV4

You need to check this on the hosting level, it looks like your site is hosted on Bluehost, please check this article to see how to utilize their caching settings -> https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/wordpress-how-to-use-our-page-caching-feature

When it comes to slowness, check how site behaves when you sort out the caching issue, it’s not normal that server response time is so bad. Try disabling that Jetpack CDN or Jetpack plugin totally to see will the situation improves, sometimes that CDN thing can be glitchy.

    Kind Regards.

First off, I recommend asking at your plugin’s support so its developers and support community can help you with this.

You may also want to discuss the issue with your hosting provider.

    Hi @mini18,

It looks like your WordPress site isn’t caching pages properly, and the server response time is too slow. Here’s a simple way to fix it:

    1. Install a Good Caching Plugin: Try WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, or LiteSpeed Cache stick with one to avoid conflicts.
    2. Set Up the Plugin Right: Make sure page caching is enabled and clear the cache after setting it up.
    3. Check with Your Hosting Provider: They can help ensure that caching is working properly from their end.
    4. Reduce Active Plugins: Too many plugins can slow things down. Keep only the essentials.
    5. Optimize Your Site: Compress images, and consider using a CDN to speed up loading times.

    Best Regards
