• I saw on your FAQ page that Ultimate Member works with caching plugins.

In implementing WP Fastest Cache, even though I have excluded Ultimate Member pages (login, account, members, etc.) from being cached, the issue I’m experiencing is with the site menu not always updating for logged-in users, and still showing the menu options for logged-out users.

What setting can I change in either plugin or element can I exclude to prevent this from happening?

Ut oh, I tried WP Fastest Cache on my staging website, but I’m actually just noticed that I’m also experiencing this issue on my main site, which doesn’t have any caching plugin installed and hasn’t ever had WP Fastest Cache installed. Any help on what could be causing this new behavior would be very appreciated. My server does use OpCache, but I disabled it (confirmed with hosting tech) and I am still experiencing this.

    Hi @hastibe

Could you please confirm that this caching issue still occur without the caching plugins? Also, could you please check if your site’s server has caching module such as varnish?

    Hi @hastibe

How many user roles are assigned to your test account? If there’s more than 1 role assigned to the account, you must set the Priority Number in the User Role settings.

Adding a Priority Number makes it as Primary Role of the user which will make all its settings to be used in your site globally.

Thanks for the quick response, @champsupertramp.

I have several user roles generated by plugins I use, but I’m just using two user roles (beyond administrator): shop manager and customer (generated by WooCommerce). When logged-in, each are set to see different menu options (via Ultimate Member’s conditional menus) than users who are not logged-in.

No priority numbers are currently set–how should I set the priority numbers for these user roles?

Also, just to expand on the problem being experienced:

The conditional menus display properly, except when a user has visited a page before logging-in. Any page that was visited before logging-in now pulls a cached version of the page, showing the menu for users who are logged-out. Clicking on a page they didn’t visit before logging-in shows the logged-in menu.

@champsupertramp — just checking on whether you had a chance to review my question above?
