• Hello,

    For my website which I created using localhost settings on a VPS instance, on Google Chrome, I get the below error:

    NET::ERR_CERT_INVALID
    Subject: localhost

    Issuer: localhost

    Expires on: 22 Sep 2021

    Current date: 23 Dec 2020

    Additionally, when I type in the domain name, it forwards onto the IP address.

    I installed ssl on the box using Nginx certbot –nginx –redirect -d https://www.extracair.co.uk -d extracair.co.uk -m [email protected] –agree-tos –no-eff-email

    Also, after updating the site address and website in WordPress settings, I struggle to log into the WP admin page. I did create a snapshot in my VPS beforehand, so I can revert back if need be.

    Can anyone advise please? I can provide more information if need be

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The domain https://www.extracair.co.uk/ works for me. It redirects to HTTPS with no certificate warning. See screenshot below. If it still doesn’t work for you, try clearing your cookies or opening from a new browser.

    Note that your logo’s URL has the IP address in it, instead of the domain name. This makes the SSL certificate invalid, hence the logo is blocked.

    You can easily fix this by re-uploading the logo.

    Hi @gappiah,

    Thanks for your reply. Very useful stuff!

    The only problem is that the login page is strange and doesn’t let me log in the usual way. Do you know why? It’s the wp-admin bit.

    Thanks
