    Hi!

First of all love the plugin!

I’m currently working on a website that has most of its headers and footers created using your awesome plugin.

Now I have to create a header and footer for a custom post type and couldn’t for the life of me find an option to select a post from the custom post type to preview its custom fields in the builder. Like I can with Elementor Pro Theme Builder using “Preview Settings”.

I’ve tried to create a header with Elementor Pro Theme Builder but I’m getting the following error:

Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.

Is this a bug or we can’t use Elementor Header & Footer Builder in tandem with Elementor Pro Theme Builder for headers and footers?

    Thank you!

  • Hello @zs24,

In order to be of more assistance to you, it would be helpful if you could provide us with more information, either about how to replicate the situation or about the nature of the difficulties you are experiencing on your end.

It would be fantastic if you could record a brief video describing the problem you encountered.

    I anticipate hearing from you.

    Hi @fahimmurshed,

I’m unable to create a header template in Elementor Pro’s theme builder when “Elementor Header & Footer Builder” plugin is active.

Templates > Theme Builder > Header > Add New

When clicking on “Add New” the Elementor page builder shows up but stops loading and displays this error:

Sorry, the content area was not found in your page.
You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.

As soon as I deactivate “Elementor Header & Footer Builder”, it starts working.

@zs24 If you have Elementor Pro, you don’t really need the Header and Footer plugin, but a work around is to disable the plugin, switch templates temporarily. Add your header and footer (you won’t see the same error in a new template that hasn’t been affected by the plugin), then switch the template back to the original.

    You are right, @ksiuda.

Hello @zs24, if you have Elementor Pro, I would highly suggest using their awesome feature. They have a documentation/article for you that will assist you in better understanding it. Here’s the link https://elementor.com/blog/header-footer-builder/. Also, watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srySG7Dc3MY.

Have a wonderful day ahead of you.
