Is there a way to disable the validation that is going on when registrants are entering their email addresses? It’s not that big of an issue when on a PC/Mac but when I try to enter an email address from an iOS device, it hangs when typing a non-alphanumeric character and displays the “Please enter a valid email address” message.

You have to wait for the spinning wheel to stop, then use the backspace to go back and re-type a “-“, “.” or “@”, for instance. I’ve run into the same problem on both my iPhone and iPad using both Mozilla and Safari.

    Hey Chuck,

I’m thinking you must have the setting “Check for duplicate emails” enabled. This will attempt to validate the email address in the background and check to see if it’s a duplicate email for the event. If you disable this setting, then you won’t have this issue.

Otherwise this is a feature we are constantly tweaking to make it user-friendly but still include the check in the background. We might make the delay between typing and checking longer in a future update.

Let me know if this doesn’t seem to be what the issue is!

You are correct, sir! As soon as I turned that off, the iPad and iPhone issue disappeared. Thanks again for the prompt reply.
