    Dear,

    There is a problem with the label displayed to show how much amount is left for getting free shipping.

    If no shipping is yet assigned to the cart/checkout, the label is being displayed on checkout with wrong information because there are many conditions (country/zip code) to respect before saying that it’s THIS amount that is left for free shipping.

    Can you please fix this, so that the message doesn’t get displayed as long as a shipping method has not yet been assigned?

    WooCommerce Settings :
    1. Enable “show shipping calculator on cart”
    2. Enable “hide shipping details until adress is entered”

    WooCommerce Shipping Zones
    1. Create 2 shipping zones for Belgium
    2. In the first table, restrict it for specific zip codes and it must contain only free shipping, so in other words for this table the shipping is ALWAYS free)
    3. In the second table, create some default shipping rates (and free shipping above 50€ only)
    4. Enable your plugin’s free shipping label “only XXX amount left to free shipping” for the second table

    In such configuration, follow these steps :
    – visit the site
    – add product to cart
    – do not update shipping zine through the calculator on cart page
    – go directly to checkout

    CONSEQUENCE :
    your plugin will display the message that XXX amount must be added to get free shipping

    but if I continue filling the page and I add a zip code of that is part of the first table (so always free delivery), then this message is WRONG because indeed it’s always free shipping.

    It’s a bit complicated case but it’s my business case ??

    Thank you for your reply. The problem you’ve encountered is related to the WooCommerce bug we’ve reported here 3 weeks ago:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/27528

    It results in not updating the notices in the checkout and I’m afraid we need to wait until it’s fixed directly in the WooCommerce.

    Ok at least it’s great that the bug is already known. I checked the github, I see that the status has failure => does it mean we’re still far from being fixed in woocommerce?

    To be honest, we are still waiting for the response from the WooCommerce dev team and until it is fixed on their side our hands are tied in this matter.

    Ok I understand, would it be possible to be informed here when you see this bug is resolved? In the meantime, I will disable the free shipping notification.
