    Hello!

First of all, thank you for the plugin and your hard work, really appreciated.

I have set up the statistics configuration of Complianz for use with Google Tag Manager and entered the GTM-ID:

In Google Tag Manager itself I have added a tag for Google Analytics to trigger on every page view:

But now it seems visitors are always tracked, even if they do not accept Statistics Cookies. What do I need to change in order to only track them if Statistics Cookies are ticked?

    Thank you!

    Marco

    Hi @jackennilsen,

A trigger such as “All Pages” would indeed fire on all pages, without waiting for any consent to be obtained in Complianz.

The solution will be to use one of the Complianz triggers to fire this tag based on consent. To make things easier you can directly import our triggers in your GTM container: https://complianz.io/importing-tag-manager-container/

After which you will be able to use triggers such as (Default) Consent Statistics instead of All Pages (or add conditions to existing tags, i.e. only fire the tag, if the cookie cmplz_marketing contains the value allow), so that this tag would only fire when Statistics consent is obtained in Complianz.

In the below example, the GA4 tag fires on “Statistics” consent; and the TikTok Pixel script fires on “Marketing” consent.

    Kind regards, Jarno
