After using the Smush plugin to optimize images on our site https://mysteryexclusive.com/, we’ve encountered a couple of issues:

    1. The second image is now displaying as the primary thumbnail instead of the original primary image.
    2. The hover animation that shows the next image in the gallery is not working for customers, although it works in the admin customize view. Disabling the animation still shows the wrong image as primary.

Could someone please help us resolve these issues? Thanks!

    Hi @cyberhustle,

Sorry to hear about the issues noticed. Could we know whether the issue resolves once the plugin is temporarily disabled?

The second image is now displaying as the primary thumbnail instead of the original primary image.

Is regarding the “BEST SELLERS” and “FEATURED PRODUCTS” section in the homepage or any one of them?

When I check at the moment, I’m not able to notice such a behaviour. Could you please share a screenshot on how it behaves on your side?

The hover animation that shows the next image in the gallery is not working for customers, although it works in the admin customize view. Disabling the animation still shows the wrong image as primary.

I’m afraid, we’ll need a bit more information on which exact section in the page you are referring? A screenshot would also be helpful.

Could you also check and see how it behaves if Lazy load is temporarily disabled?

Please advise if I’m missing out on anything. Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

I wanted to let you know that after deactivating the Lazy Load option, the issue has been resolved. The images and hover animation are now working perfectly on both the “BEST SELLERS” section of the homepage and the Shop page.

    Hi @cyberhustle,

I hope you are doing well today!

We are glad to hear that the issue has been resolved and marking this thread accordingly.

For your information, we can see those mentioned images are still Lazy Loading which was the root cause. Please note that if your theme or any of your plugins uses the same feature (Lazy Loading in that case) with Smush then it can cause conflicts like the one you have experienced.

Please let us know in case you need further help.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer
