I imported a CSV generated from the provided template with 1915 reviews, but received the following notice–

387 reviews were imported. 2,666 entries were skipped.
One or more warnings were triggered during import: Incorrect date format

The date in the template is correct, and the format provided MM/DD/YYYY matches the template.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Are you that each date has two digits for the day, two digits for the month, and four digits for the year? If you are using Excel (which visually formats the date but doesn’t always change the actual data), try opening the CSV in a plain text editor to confirm.

@geminilabs Thanks, you’re correct. Not all months/days were in the two digit format.

What’s the best way to get these other reviews into the system? Update the invalid dates to the correct format then upload a separate CSV with the missing reviews?

Some clarification on how/if it can detect duplicates would be appreciated.

Yes, fix the dates in your CSV file and then reimport it.

Site Reviews should skip any reviews in the CSV file that were already imported, but it’s always wise to make a backup of the website when importing data just in case. To do this you can use the UpdraftPlus plugin.
