Hi there, I’m hoping you can help. I have an issue with my website when using WP Fastest Cache and Ivory Search. After a while, the AJAX search results stop working in the Ivory Search bar on my website when using this caching plugin.

The plugin author gave some advice for litespeed cache and a link to the WP Fastest Cache article. It seems the method is simply clear the cache every 10 hrs. I’m wondering if there is an alternative way to avoid having to clear the cache and simply putting this “is_ajax_nonce” file in some exclusion list so that it doesn’t get cache? Not sure I’m making sense, but hoping you can help. Thanks!

The problem is caused by the WordPress nonce security system. To resolve this issue, you should add a cache timeout as below.”

I see, and is that the only way? Do I understand correctly, the proposed solution is to set a cache timeout. This means that the entire website cache will be cleared every 10 hrs, correct? So page cache will be recreated everyday for pages that never change. Do I understand this correctly?

Thanks Emre! That’s unfortunate, but I appreciate your help. Is that just a normal practice now, or is there some alternative (meaning, could the plugin creator have coded it definitely so that this isn’t an issue, or this is an issue with simply AJAX and WordPress’s nonce system. And its just something that needs to be done if you are going to use Ajax and caching?

Some plugins offer a feature that allows data to be loaded via AJAX. if there is no feature like that in your plugin, you cannot do anything about it.
