Hi, I’ve encountered a strange issue with jetpack. After installing jetpack, my page returns 500, error_log says that class-waf-trasnforms.php is missing. Here is log:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Failed opening required '/home/livartpl/wpstage/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack_vendor/automattic/jetpack-waf/src/class-waf-transforms.php' (include_path='.:/opt/cpanel/ea-php82/root/usr/share/pear') in /home/livartpl/wpstage/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/vendor/jetpack-autoloader/class-php-autoloader.php:90

I’m confused because when I put that file manually via ftp, the file is deleted somehow after couple seconds. Removing jetpack from plugins helps but after reinstall problem still occurs

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

That seems very strange. What other plugins are you using on the site? Anything that seems like it might be deleting that file for some reason?

Do you have any indication that the site has been compromised? It seems unlikely, but I could see malware deleting a file like this to try to remove the security feature.

I’m using Elementor Pro, Tutor LMS and plugins for:
    SEO,
    management reservation,
    GDPR compliance,
    media converter,
    translation themes and other plugins,
    MailerLite,
    quizes,
    addons for Tutor LMS,
    backup,
    cache.

I installed Wordfence Security plugins, scanned page and it looks fine. How can I check if my site has been compromised?

Hey @martynanamiotko – could you please deactivate all plugins (especially Wordfence) and then uninstall + reinstall the Jetpack plugin from the WP Admin ? Plugins ? Add New section? Let me know if it still throw the same issue.

Also, just to be sure, does your hosting provider also provide any inbuilt security feature?

I’ve deactivated all plugins and then installed jetpack. Problem still occurs.

I don’t know what do you exactly mean by ‘inbuilt security feature’. They’re claiming that they provide WAF and antimalware scans.

What could be causing this error? If I have to determine with the hosting provider what exactly they offer, I would appreciate specific features that may be causing my error with Jetpack.

They’re claiming that they provide WAF and antimalware scans.

These are the kind of inbulit security features we’re referring to.

I would recommend checking with them to see if there’s any chance either their WAF or malware scanning features might have affected the Jetpack class-waf-transforms.php file. Can you please let us know what they say?

    Hello @martynanamiotko

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Yes, I have got an answear. Hosting provider automatically deletes this file because of its name. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for letting us know and I’m happy to hear the issue has been resolved.
