Issue with Kale Front page post images

Hi there, Kale is such a nice theme and I really love how clean it is. Though, I am stumped on the front page post(s) images not being displayed? I looked through the sidebar, front page settings and am not sure why I only see pastel color blocks instead of the featured post picture. Thank you in Advance for your help! -Patti
