It could be a theme or plugin conflict — if you can turn off other plugins and temporarily change to the default theme (twentyfifteen), are you able to view the files after that?

Normally WordPress would let plugins handle their own parameters after the question mark in a URL, but if another plugin (or theme) takes over first, it could cause this.

The modified plugins might just be version changes by the plugin authors not doing a full release (hopefully!) — are you seeing changes on “readme.txt” files in most plugins, or a lot of “.php” files, too? If you can use FTP to find one of the files, you might be able to identify if the content seems suspicious, if you’re familiar enough with PHP.

The older post was probably closed because www.ads-software.com automatically closes topics a year after they are created, to keep new comments from adding onto older posts forever.
