    Hi,

I’m using LiteSpeed Cache and I’m struggling with an issue with Object Cache enabled: I add a product to cart and then when I go to the cart, it shows as empty. If I add a second product and then go to the cart, the first product appears in the cart, while the second does not. And so on…

I have contacted the guys from LiteSpeed and, so far, all we’ve got is this:

    1) If I also enable the “Cache Wp-Admin” (it’s an option in LiteSpeed Cache plugin), then I don’t get the empty cart anymore. However, I don’t want stale data in my backend admin, so this is not a viable solution for me.

    2) I’ve tried disabling all plugins, leaving just my theme (i.e. Woodmart Premium Theme), WooCommerce, Redux Framework and LiteSpeed Cache. The issue with the empty cart is still present.
However, if I disable Redux, the issue is gone. Woodmart is built on Redux, so it’s unlikely to be a theme issue.

The guys from LiteSpeed tried to reproduce the issue on their test site (I’ve given them my theme) but couldn’t. However, I still haven’t got an answer from them when I asked if they had also had Redux Framework installed when running the tests.

Any thoughts on this, please? I’m on WP 4.9.10, WooCommerce 3.5.2, PHP 7.3.

Hey there Mikey. I’m sorry this is occurring, often the conflicts of plugins and themes can be a real pain.

Here’s a quick way to narrow it down between our plugin and you theme. You’d be surprised how often the issue really is in the theme and how they “use” Redux.

    1. Change your theme to a standard one that doesn’t use Redux
    2. Activate Redux
    3. Activate Redux Demo Mode

Now go try and do your typical cart action. If it’s working fine, then the error lies in the theme.

I wish I could help more. We have no way of controlling how developers utilize our framework. Regrettably, they often do so in a less than perfect way.

If the problem persists with Woo, Redux, and LiteCache I will be happy to help you debug as we seek to ensure Redux is compatible with as much as possible.

    Best of luck!

    Hi,

I’ve followed your steps, no issue.

Thanks, I’ll further investigate to see if it’s related to my theme.

Now, how do I remove the Redux demo? (i.e. the Sample Options tab and all related?)

    Thank you.

Later edit: Just deactivate and reactivate, right?

I’m sorry that you found it was probably the theme. My guess is they’re doing some odd CSS things or compiler actions.

To turn off demo mode, go to your plugins page and find Redux. Then click on Disable Demo Mode.

I wish you the best of luck. I hope you figure it out!
