Issue with Making Fields Optional and Hiding Them Using Flexible Checkout Fields
-
Dear Flexible Checkout Fields Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek assistance with an issue I’ve encountered while using your plugin, Flexible Checkout Fields, on my WooCommerce site.
Despite the plugin’s extensive functionalities and my adherence to the provided documentation, I’ve been unable to make certain checkout fields optional, nor hide them — specifically, the
shipping_city
field. My goal is to streamline the checkout process for my customers by making the “City” field under shipping details both optional and hidden based on certain conditions or universally. Here are the steps I’ve taken and the challenges I’ve faced:
- I navigated to the plugin’s settings to configure the
shipping_city
field, attempting to set it as optional and to hide it. - Despite applying these settings, the field remains mandatory and visible during checkout, which suggests that the changes are not being applied or saved correctly.
I have ensured that my WordPress and WooCommerce installations are up-to-date, and I am using the Storefront and Twenty Twenty-Four themes without any additional plugins that could potentially conflict with Flexible Checkout Fields.
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? Are there specific settings or steps that I might be missing? Additionally, if there are known compatibility issues or if additional steps are required to apply these changes effectively, I would greatly appreciate your insights.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response and hope to resolve this issue promptly.
