I am having an issue with my site title doesn’t appear correctly on Google search. When I type my site tile without any space (cookusvegan) it appears on Google search but typing with space between the words (cook us vegan) it just wouldn’t. I checked the site appearance setting and it looks fine to me, I don’t know what else I can do.. Can you please help me to solve this issue?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

First, we checked the site, https://cookusvegan.co.uk/ and it is running the Yoast SEO plugin v14.9. Kindly update to v16.0.2.

Next, we viewed the page source and the title is:

    <title>Cook Us Vegan | Affordable Recipes</title>

Can you please share a screenshot of what you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin as the title?

    @bambooic Thanks for your reply.

We reviewed the settings you have for the SEO title and see you have the following:

    %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%

The %%title%% variable uses the page’s title, which is output on the page as the <h1> tag which is showing in the source code as having the content ‘Cook Us Vegan’, so this is output as expected.

The next template variable used is %%page%% is only output when the page in question is paginated, meaning there is a page 2, page 3, etc. When there is not additional pages, nothing will be output for this variable.

The next template variable is %%sep%% which is output as expected.

The last template variable of %%sitename%% outputs the Site title, which is set in WordPress under Settings>General for ‘Site Title.’

Thanks for reviewing my Yoast settings. My site title from Settings>General shows Cook Us Vegan, not cookusvegan. I have no clue why my correct site title doesn’t appear (with space between the words). Do you think it’s not something to do with SEO?

Can you please share the additional screenshots in which you highlight the results from the Google search that you’re seeing when searching for cookusvegan and cook u svegan so that we can understand the issue better?

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello,

The shared screenshots are explanatory. We noticed that the way you’re searching for your content on Google is not the intended way. We recommend using the site:operator (site:cookusvegan.co.uk), to check if your content is being indexed by Google’s algorithm or not. If your content is being indexed when you use the site:operator then it states that Google is successfully indexing your content.

Also, the words cook and vegan are highly competitive and will be difficult to be on the first page on Google search results for those words. There are thousands of websites with either of those words in their domain name.

    Thank you.

I checked site:cookusvegan.co.uk and my site appeared but there was a link to Google Console and asking if I wanted to index my URL. so I clicked and went to Google Console, inspected my URL then found out that my page is not indexed but no caused by an error (it says). I thought my site was indexed after submitting a sitemap. I submitted an indexing request. I will see if anything changes in the next few days.

Thanks very much for your support!
